Our Focus on Organic

IMG_4559-2Cocobeet opened its doors on January 30th. Since day 1, we have used 100% organic produce 90% to 95% of the time. This high rate of success includes over 25 different fruits and vegetables in our juice, smoothie, and whole food recipes. Our standard is this high despite a constant problem sourcing organic jalapeños. We’ve also achieved this despite opening during winter, being in New England, and having key farming areas in California and Mexico experiencing terrible drought conditions impacting supply.We pride ourselves in the dedicated use of organic produce and other ingredients in our cold-pressed juices, smoothies, juice cleanses, and pure foods. We make every effort to use organic produce in all of our products, but there are times some organic ingredients cannot be sourced. When this occurs we try to fill the gap using local produce; while organic is important to many, local and small batch is important to more.  In these cases, we focus on purchasing local, Boston and New England produce over non-local.At our register each day is a list of the non-organic produce being used that day. We always work hard to have our staff verbally share the information when possible. Soon, the list will be on a dedicated chalkboard, replacing the current sign above the grab-and-go refrigerators.Our focus on our organic fruits and vegetables sets us apart from other juice bars in Boston and beyond.We want to always be honest.
